From sophisticated gifts to cozy home meals
No longer a holiday known only in Western countries, November 19 International Men's Day is gradually receiving the attention of many Vietnamese women. Instead of waiting to receive gifts, many women have proactively planned to surprise their husbands, boyfriends or beloved men in the family.
Sharing with reporters, Ms. Bui Thi Anh Tho (Hanoi) said that she has known about this day for a few recent years and always has a little preparation to express her feelings for her boyfriend.
"This year, I have prepared a set of couple items. I think this is a practical gift, helping him to be more meticulous when going to work or going out. For me, the gift does not need to be too elaborate, but the important thing is to show delicate care," Ms. Tho said with a smile.

Not only material gifts, many women believe that the most meaningful gift comes from simple things in daily life. Ms. Le Thi Thu Huong (Hanoi) confided that if she knew in advance and had time, she would prepare a bouquet of fresh flowers.
However, according to her, the most precious thing for men is the peace of the family.
"I think the best thing a man wants is a home, hot meals cooked by his wife after a tiring day at work, and the affection of the children. For me, those are priceless and meaningful gifts more than any expensive material thing," Ms. Huong expressed.
The most precious gift is understanding and appreciation
Overcoming geographical distance, words of love and respect are the great spiritual gifts that women want to send on this special day. Ms. Le Thi Hang (Bien Hoa, Dong Nai) when on a business trip to Hanoi could not hide her emotions when talking about November 19.
Ms. Hang thought this was an extremely meaningful day. Its the only day of the year to recognize the mens contributions. I feel a little regretful for not being able to be with my husband and son at this time, Ms. Hang shared.
Through the lens, she wanted to send a loving message to her partner: "I would like to express my sincere thanks to you - the roof of my mother and children. Thank you for your family, for your children who sacrificed their youth to build this family with me."
