Appearing in the program, Ms. Thuy Trang (58 years old) introduced herself as a retired primary school teacher but still continuing to tutor students from grades 1 to 6. In addition to teaching, she is also a dance instructor and is teaching at a club in Ho Chi Minh City. Although she has retired, she still maintains her job to have a stable income and pursue her passion.
She said she used to be married, has a daughter born in 1992, a son-in-law born in 1994 and a 6-year-old grandchild. The children have all grown up, have their own lives, so she is completely proactive with her own decisions.
After separating from her husband in 2022, she currently lives with her sworn brother and sister's family and still takes care of her own economy thanks to teaching work. According to her, her income of more than ten million VND per month is enough to cover living expenses without having to depend on children.
What surprised the whole studio was her sharing about her relationship with her ex-husband. Although they are no longer husband and wife, the two still maintain respect for each other. She revealed that her ex-husband drove her to film and completely supported her participation in the program to find a new partner. For her, it is a civilized behavior after a breakup, when both chose to be friends and soulmates instead of becoming strangers.
Accompanying her at the program was Mr. Nguyen Hoa Minh (68 years old) - a retired carpenter. He used to work in the interior design sector, currently living on income from rented rooms. After separating from his wife a few months ago, he lived alone. His children have all grown up and become independent, so he no longer has many economic worries.
When asked about her life partner model, Ms. Trang said that the most important thing is sincerity, knowing how to care, share and accompany each other like soulmates and confidants. She does not put much emphasis on material things but only hopes to have someone to take care of each other in old age, when the weather changes. Meanwhile, Mr. Minh also hopes to find someone who knows how to share, but admits that he is still quite hesitant after his old marriage.
In the exchange, Ms. Trang showed confidence when giving the program a dance performance combined with the song "Vấn vương chợ tình" choreographed by herself. The performance received many rounds of applause from the audience and praise from the two MCs. Not only that, she also affirmed that she is ready to move back to live in Vung Tau if both are really serious about getting to know each other. "My children are all grown up. The important thing is whether Mr. Minh really wants to welcome me back or not," she expressed.
However, before the bride's initiative, Mr. Minh still could not open his heart completely. He repeatedly affirmed that he was only at the "50-50" level, not emotional enough to make a decision. He shared that a short meeting is not enough to know whether he can accompany for a long time or not, especially after many years of marriage and life upheavals.
At the decisive moment, only Ms. Trang pressed the button to agree to date, while Mr. Minh chose to refuse. The reason he gave was that the two were not really in sync in personality and hobbies, especially he liked a gentle woman who rarely participated in singing and dancing activities.
