Ms. My An and Mr. Moi first met when he had just returned from the army and was working at a factory. Although many girls working at the same factory were pursuing him, he paid attention to her because he felt they were compatible and compatible.
Ms. My An recounted her first impression of him with humor when she saw him wearing a red basket, his fair appearance, which made her feel "funny", but then she was gradually attracted. After a small incident when she was stung by a scorpion and was promptly helped by Mr. Moi, the feelings between the two began to blossom.
After four years of knowing each other, their friendship gradually turned into love and they decided to get married. However, their married life was not entirely smooth, as the couple faced many economic difficulties.
When they first got married, Mr. Moi worked as a cyclo driver, while Ms. My An sold used clothes at the market. Despite their difficult life, the couple still tried to take care of their family. The first incident happened when Mr. Moi had a severe stomach ache and had to be hospitalized for 19 days. To overcome that difficult period, both families joined hands to help, each contributing a little to financially support the couple.
After recovering, Mr. Moi had to face many difficulties in his work, from pedaling a cyclo to driving a motorbike taxi to make a living. Despite the hard work, he and his wife were determined not to give up, always finding ways to overcome together.
Not only did Moi have to deal with his own illness, his biological mother also fell seriously ill shortly after. Moi did not hesitate to sacrifice his time and effort to take care of his mother while working as a construction worker. The couple lived apart like that for 3 years.
One of the biggest challenges for the family was when Mr. Moi suffered a serious heart attack on the 27th of Tet. With a 50-50 chance of survival on the operating table, he and his wife had to make the difficult decision to not have surgery and choose medical treatment. Despite the fear of losing her husband, Ms. An still kept hoping and praying for his health. And with perseverance, Mr. Moi overcame the dangerous period.
After that, Mr. Moi continued to face another incident when he suffered from gastric bleeding, a condition so critical that the doctor warned that he could lose his life at any moment. But thanks to the dedicated care of his wife and family, he overcame another "near-death" experience.
For Ms. My An, despite many hardships, her love and affection for her husband helped her never give up. She shared that, although she felt burdened at times, she never compared her life to others. For her, taking care of her husband was natural and no one could do it better than her. Her perseverance and silent sacrifice are the reasons her family has come to where they are today.
At the end of the program, Mr. Moi expressed his deep gratitude to Ms. My An, his wife who has overcome many difficulties with him and cared for him every day during his illness. He called her a wonderful wife, the motivation for him to continue living and overcome challenges.
