In 2001, Thuy Hien married her first husband, Anh Tu, a member of the band Watermelon. One of the most famous couples at that time, they had two daughters together.
After 5 years, Thuy Hien and Anh Tu divorced. At that time, Thuy Hien fell into crisis due to the trauma after the breakup.
In 2019, Thuy Hien remarried her childhood best friend after 13 years of raising a child alone.
However, the relationship ended quickly because both realized many differences in each other's married life.
Up to now, Thuy Hien no longer wants to look for her other half. She confided: "After nearly twenty years of raising my child alone, being both mother and father, I am not comfortable with a man entering the lives of the three of us."
At the age of 45, Thuy Hien became a wushu coach training young athletes and doing business in several fields such as restaurants, fashion...

In June 2024, Thuy Hien appeared in the MV "Canh Chim Phuong Hoang" by Tung Duong in collaboration with Double2T and musician Tu Dua (her ex-husband).
For the former athlete, her current happiness is spending time with her children. Thuy Hien's two daughters are both artistically talented, the eldest daughter is a student at the Vietnam National Academy of Music, while the second daughter is studying fashion design.
Thuy Hien, born in 1979, comes from a family with a rich tradition of sports in Hanoi. She started her martial arts career at the age of 12. Thanks to her outstanding talent, Thuy Hien soon became a potential seed of the Vietnamese wushu community in the 90s and early 2000s, and was nicknamed "wushu queen" by the media.
In 1993, she became the first Vietnamese to win a World Gold Medal at the World Wushu Championships at the age of 14.
With many years of dedication to the country's sports, Thuy Hien has won a total of 7 world gold medals, 2 Asian gold medals, 1 ASIAD silver medal, 8 SEA Games gold medals... She is affectionately given the title "Wushu Queen".
