Vegetarian tomato sauce tofu
Tomato tofu has a mild, rich sour taste, the sauce thickens on the outside of the fragrant yellow tofu. The dish is easy to make, suitable for hot rice in light meals.
3 cartons of tofu, 2 ripe tomatoes, boa-ro onions, soy sauce or vegetarian fish sauce, vegetarian seasoning and cooking oil.
How to make: Cut tofu into bite-sized squares. Heat oil, add tofu and fry until golden brown on all sides, then take out onto a plate. Wash tomatoes, cut into small pieces. Sauté chopped perilla until fragrant, then add tomatoes and stir-fry until soft and create a sauce.
Season with about 1 tablespoon of soy sauce or vegetarian fish sauce, 1 teaspoon of vegetarian seasoning and add a little filtered water to make the sauce thicker. Put the fried tofu in a pan, stir gently to spread the sauce evenly and cook for about 3 minutes until the tofu absorbs the spices. Turn off the heat, arrange the dish on a plate and serve hot.
Vegetarian lemongrass chili fried tofu
Lemongrass chili tofu fries stand out with a crispy golden crust, soft inside, lemongrass aroma and a mild spicy taste from chili. This dish can be served with rice or combined with vegetable dishes in vegetarian meals.
3 cartons of tofu, 2 lemongrass stalks, 1 chili pepper, vegetarian seasoning, soy sauce and cooking oil.
How to make: Cut tofu into rectangular pieces or bite-sized pieces. Mince lemongrass and chili. Fry tofu in hot oil until all sides are golden brown, then remove to a plate lined with oil-absorbing paper.
Skimp off the oil in the pan, add lemongrass and chili and fry over low heat until fragrant. Continue to add tofu and stir together, add a little soy sauce and vegetarian seasoning. Shake or stir gently for about 1-2 minutes to allow lemongrass and chili and spices to stick evenly to the tofu. Turn off the heat, arrange on a plate and enjoy while hot.
