A trip to Hoi An, Hue during the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026 is the choice of Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhat (43 years old, living in Thanh Xuan ward, Hanoi) for her small family.
The reason Ms. Nhat chose to go on this occasion is because it can save costs, and the whole family has time to rest after 1 year of hard work.
Ms. Nhat shared that her family originally loved the slow pace of life and the ancient beauty of Hoi An ancient town, Hue. Therefore, she plans to take her family to explore all the surrounding regions of Hoi An such as Tra Que vegetable village, Bay Mau mangrove forest, An Bang beach... and then go along to Hue.
To prepare for this trip, my family had to plan from December 2025, making plans to visit both paternal and maternal relatives, close relatives first to prepare everything carefully" - Ms. Nhat said.
Choosing to travel abroad during the Tet holiday, Mr. Doan Tran Lam's family (living in Hanoi) also bought tours, air tickets, tickets to attractions to services such as hotels and rooms in Japan from November 2025.

Taking advantage of spending long Tet holidays, his family decided to take his daughter to explore Japan, which is also an opportunity for the family to increase connection, relieve stress, and welcome the new year together.

The survey results on the demand for finding destinations during the Lunar New Year 2026 by the Agoda platform recently showed that domestic tourism increased by nearly 22%, while foreign tourism only increased slightly by 7%.
Many experts believe that the reason does not only come from cost factors or psychological fear of going far, having to do cumbersome procedures... but more importantly, the quality of domestic tourism products has recently been elevated towards being unique, rich in experience, and attracting domestic tourists.
Domestic destinations leading the search list are Da Lat, Phu Quoc, Nha Trang, Da Nang, Vung Tau. While international destinations that are most interested by Vietnamese tourists are: Bangkok, Singapore, Tokyo, Hong Kong (China), Bali (Indonesia).
