Le Thanh Thuy is one of the best middle blockers of Vietnamese women's volleyball at present.
She is a prominent factor of the national women's volleyball team in 5 international tournaments in 2024. At the same time, the 1995-born hitter also contributed to the runner-up achievement of LPB Ninh Binh club in the 2024 Asian Club Volleyball Championship that just ended in Thailand.
Le Thanh Thuy's excellence is considered to be due to her inherited qualities from her family. Both Thanh Thuy's father and mother were volleyball players. Her father passed away early in 2011, and her mother is former player Nguyen Thi Hong.
Talking to Lao Dong, the LPB Ninh Binh team's hitter shared: "My mother is a strong support, motivating me in many professional matters and is a great motivation for me to compete until now. When I feel the most difficult, pressured and want to give up, my mother is the one who pulls me up, gives me advice and encourages me at every important moment."
For Le Thanh Thuy, her mother is the most important person in her life. Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong is the female assistant's companion in both life and career, taking care of all the family's work after her father passed away early.
"My father passed away early in 2011, so I have very few memories of him. Partly because I often had to compete and practice away from home since I was little, I didn't come home much, and my father only visited me on the team occasionally, so the time we spent together wasn't much.
Perhaps, what always makes me feel pain and regret is not being able to see my father for the last time. At that time, because I was competing, I couldn't come back in time. When I got home, my father had passed away. I was also very sad but understood that, from childhood to adulthood, my father loved me very much and that love was expressed silently. Therefore, every time before competing, I always tell my father in my heart so that he will always watch over and bless me," said middle blocker Le Thanh Thuy.
Currently, due to the tight training and competition schedule with the national team and the club, Thanh Thuy does not have much time. After each tournament, she always takes the time to visit her mother and home. Every time she returns, the 1995-born player has more motivation to return to compete and give her all.
In addition to her talent on the field, Le Thanh Thuy is also loved for her beautiful appearance and neat appearance. With a height of 1m80, a standard figure, white skin and a sharp face, Thanh Thuy won the title of Miss at two tournaments, VTV Cup and VTV Cup Binh Dien in 2014.
