Nicholas Tse and the billion-dollar HKD business empire

Nicholas Tse is not only a famous singer and actor in Hong Kong (China), but also built a remarkable business ecosystem for more than two decades.

The actor's total assets are currently estimated at about 8 - 10 billion HKD (about 26,000 - 33,000 billion VND), of which most of the income comes from non-entertainment activities.

From post-production technology, real estate, stocks to food, he gradually turned the reputation of a star into assets with long-term profitability.

In 2003, when he was only 23 years old, Nicholas Tse mortgaged his first house to borrow HKD 3.7 million to establish Post Production Office.

The company initially had only 11 employees but quickly developed, having undertaken post-production for many advertisements and film works in Hong Kong (China).

In 2016, Digital Domain bought 85% of the company's shares for HKD 135 million, helping Nicholas Tse earn a significant amount of money and later became Chairman of the Group's Greater China region.

Real estate is also one of Ta Dinh Phong's important investment channels. Since he was young, he has used his earnings to buy houses and shops in Hong Kong (China).

In 2005, he spent HKD 20.8 million to buy a commercial premise in the central area. The value of this real estate is said by the media to have increased sharply over time, while the total value of the actor's commercial assets currently amounts to hundreds of millions of HKD.

Ta Dinh Phong also has a different investment strategy with Xtep. Instead of just receiving advertising money, he chose to stick with this fashion brand for a long time and buy shares.

In 2016, he invested about 22.5 million HKD to buy 5 million Xtep shares, then continued to buy an additional 5 million shares in 2020 for about 12.4 million HKD. When shares increased sharply in 2021, these shares were once worth about 150 million HKD, bringing in a paper profit of more than 100 million HKD.

In recent years, Fengwei Pai has become a new pillar in Ta Dinh Phong's business system. The food company was established in 2021, focusing on products he participated in researching and developing, notably grilled sausages. The key product recipe alone has been adjusted 178 times.

By early 2025, Fengwei Pai's accumulated revenue had exceeded 1.5 billion RMB, equivalent to about 330 million sausages sold. The product has been available in about 160 cities and more than 15,000 stores.

Ta Dinh Phong also takes advantage of his influence in the entertainment industry to build a brand through the program "12 Dao Phong Vi", then turns the audience into customers for his products.

The cooperation with Haier and the high-end brand Casarte continues to expand this ecosystem to the field of kitchen equipment.

From post-production companies, real estate, stocks to food and commerce, Ta Dinh Phong is building a fairly complete business model: using reputation to create content and attract a large number of people to access, turning public interest into products, and then continuing to accumulate capital and assets.

This is also the reason why the actor's assets are increasingly less dependent on income from artistic activities.
