Sons are not pressured when their mothers are famous
Long Vu became famous when he starred in the primetime drama "Walking in the Roaring Sky". He played the role of a Dao young master named Chai, who is childish, impulsive, and has a sincere love for his childhood friend (Pu).
During the time the film was aired, Chai was called an ideal role model by many viewers because he always pampered and protected the person he loved. Many viewers believed that Long Vu's talent came from his mother as the actor is the son of artist Van Dung.
Talking to Lao Dong, Long Vu said that having a famous mother does not put pressure on him.
"People often think that at home or in my career, I will feel pressured because my mother is a long-time artist, famous in the profession. But I consider it a joy, pride and honor. My mother has contributed a lot to the public, bringing laughter to everyone. I am very proud of that.
Having a famous mother helps me gain a lot of professional experience, shortening the time to access knowledge of acting. Whether I practice well or not depends on me," Long Vu shared.
Meanwhile, artist Van Dung expressed: "I often tell my son that he is luckier than me. Before, Vu rarely listened to his mother and forgot what he said. But when he started working seriously, he called me every 2-3 days. When he encountered a difficult scene and didn't know how to act, we would discuss it. When he came home, if he asked, I would teach him more. Only about 3 days later, Vu was praised by the film crew for his progress.
I taught Vu that he must do his job with 200% of his strength and dedication. Don't consider performing as a walk in the park. If he does it, he must do it to the end. If he can't do it, then that's it, he must reconsider."
The female artist affirmed that her role is only to give advice and guidance to her son about acting. Long Vu himself must study, create and develop himself. There is no way she will rely on her fame to beg or support her son.
Family discipline comes first
Artist Van Dung said that her son's maturity made her emotional. Although Long Vu has just started his career, the fact that "Chai" is well received and loved by the audience is also a great joy for a mother like her.
"During the 22 years of hard work raising my son, I always hid and did not show him off on social media. Suddenly one day, the audience loved him, friends and relatives called to congratulate me, I realized that my son had truly grown up.
Long Vu is an emotional, determined, obedient, filial, and thrifty person. That personality does not come naturally. Even though I am busy with work, I always make time for my children. I am a strict mother. Even my friends ask me why I teach my children in such a harsh way.
Vu's father lives far away. Vu listens to his father more, sometimes his mother reminds him a lot but he doesn't pay attention. But with my principles, all the rules, regulations, and family traditions in the family must be known and followed. As for creativity in work, my mother does not interfere," artist Van Dung confided.
Van Dung affirmed that she will teach her child the same way her parents taught her. The female artist hopes that Long Vu will develop naturally, become a useful person for society, and work with all his heart and strength.
