The Ministry of Public Security guides vehicle registration after July 1

On the afternoon of June 29, the Traffic Police Department (CSGT), Ministry of Public Security informed about vehicle registration after July 1.

Accordingly, all commune-level police and the Traffic Police Department must register cars, specialized motorbikes, and motorbikes of domestic organizations and individuals headquartered in provinces and centrally run cities.

People or organizations that need to register their cars, motorbikes, or specialized motorbikes can choose to register their vehicles at the Traffic Police Department or any commune-level police station in the province or city where they are residing or have headquarters.

For vehicles of confiscated origin, they must register at the Traffic Police Department.

For communes with part of the administrative boundary separated and merged with many new commune-level administrative units, while waiting for the completion of population data, the vehicle registration work for organizations and individuals in that commune will be carried out by the Traffic Police Department.

Regarding local license plate symbols after the merger, including license plate symbols of merged localities. Specifically:

Also according to the Traffic Police Department, the license plate with the symbol of the locality will be kept the same after the merger and will be issued in advance (for example: Hung Yen province: 89, Ninh Binh province: 35, Dong Thap province 66), An Giang province alone will issue the symbol 68.

After issuing all of these license plate symbols, the remaining symbols from low to high will be issued.
