Banh cuon is a popular dish on the S-shaped culinary map. However, in each region, the flavor of banh cuon has different characteristics. The same goes for Phu Ly Banh cuon (Ha Nam province), the dish has its own unique features, the side dishes also conquer the most demanding customers.

The owner of a famous rolling cake shop on Le Loi Street (Phu Ly City) said that unlike the rolls of many other localities, Phu Ly rolled cake is coated with 2 thin layers of eight oval rice flour. The roller of rolls must master all operations, from the flour to the flour, flip, remove the thin layer of the cake from the mold so that the cake does not tear. Usually there are two types of rolls: rolled rolls (also known as bare rolls, non -filled rolls) and wooden ear rolls to please diners.
Phu Ly Banh cuon is enjoyed with fragrant fried onions, served with sweet and sour fish sauce, and added melons made from stir-fry, carrots and seasoned grilled meat.

Nowadays, in Phu Ly, there are also many long-standing banh cuon shops, still maintaining the traditional appearance of the banh cuon. It is not ready-made rolls that the restaurant owner starts making when customers come in. The cakes are then placed on a tray, massed with minced meat and wood ear, dipped in a few drops of fat to make the cakes soft, rolled and then cut into bite-sized pieces. Therefore, when coming to Phu Ly, just ask about the delicious, old banh cuon restaurant and you will be suggested by the locals here for many places.
Ms. Minh Tam (from Thai Binh) shared: "For many years working and living in Hanoi, but every time I return to my hometown in Thai Binh, I visit Phu Ly City to enjoy banh cuon. The flavor of Phu Ly banh cuon impressed me with the fragrant flavor of the hand-wrapped banh cuon, eaten with delicious grilled meat. Now, I often enjoy the banh cuon restaurant on Le Loi Street".
