On the evening of July 24, speaking with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, the leader of Cuc Phuong Commune (Ninh Binh Province) confirmed that a child had just fallen from the 2nd floor of a hotel.
The incident occurred at the C.P.M.H hotel in Cuc Phuong commune. At that time, the family of Mr. V.V.T (born in 1990, Hanoi) traveled and rented room No. 206, 2nd floor of this hotel to stay.
On the evening of July 19, after visiting, Mr. T's family returned to the hotel. However, due to the impact of thunderstorms, the power in Cuc Phuong commune was lost. To keep the room airy, Mr. T's family opened the windows. Mr. T's son (a nephew A) unfortunately fell from the window to the yard (the windows were not covered but there were no guardrails outside).
After the incident, A was taken to a hospital in the province for emergency treatment, then transferred to a hospital in Hanoi for treatment. A is now out of danger and is being monitored after surgery.
The leader of Cuc Phuong commune added that immediately after receiving information about the incident, the local authorities sent officials to verify, inspect the hotel and report to the competent authorities to handle the violation (if any).
