On the afternoon of May 15, a couple over 70 years old from Seoul panicked and went to the Gijang area police station (Busan) to report forgetting a suitcase containing 10 million won in cash and 2 taels of gold in a taxi on a trip to Busan.
According to Gijang Police (Busan) on May 20, the elderly couple said they rarely travel and had gathered all their belongings to bring with them because they were worried.
When getting off the taxi, due to confusion and not knowing the way, they left their important suitcase behind.
Both of them could not remember the license plate, the place of discharge and had paid in cash, so the search was difficult.

Immediately after receiving the report via hotline 112, Gijang police, including Lieutenant Jo Sung-jae and Police Captain Kim Ga-young, took the couple onto a patrol vehicle, returning to the area where they were suspected of getting off the taxi.
Based on surveillance cameras and statements that they had passed through toll stations, the authorities traced and identified the taxi after about 4 hours.
The police quickly contacted the taxi company and the driver, thereby finding the whole suitcase for the couple.
A police representative shared: "Thanks to the smooth coordination and effective division of tasks of the team at Gijang station, we have helped the couple regain all their valuable assets."
This person added that the couple could not hide their emotions and shed tears many times to thank the authorities for their efforts and not wasting their time.
The case has received special attention from the Korean online community, both touched by the police's actions and reminded people to be more careful when carrying valuable assets on their trips.
