BTS breaks The Rolling Stones 7-year tour revenue record

BTS set a record for monthly tour revenue on Billboard Boxscore with 127.8 million USD, surpassing the milestone that The Rolling Stones held for 7 years.

According to Billboard Boxscore, in May 2026, BTS earned 127.8 million USD and sold 641,000 tickets in just 12 shows of the "Arirang World Tour" tour. This achievement helped the group continue to lead the Top Tours chart, and also become the group with the highest monthly touring revenue since Billboard Boxscore launched this chart in 2019.

BTS's new record surpassed the 95 million USD mark set by The Rolling Stones in August 2019, becoming the highest monthly revenue of a group in Billboard Boxscore history.

This is also the fourth time BTS has topped the Top Tours. Since the chart was released, only 5 artists or bands have held the number one position for many months, including Bad Bunny, Beyoncé, Coldplay, Elton John and the Trans-Siberian Orchestra.

The highlight of the tour was 4 shows at Allegiant Stadium (Las Vegas, USA), earning 49.5 million USD from 246,000 tickets, thereby topping the Top Boxscores chart in May.

Other stops such as Stanford Stadium (California, USA), Estadio GNP Seguros (Mexico City, Mexico) and Sun Bowl (Texas, USA) also appeared in the group of shows with the highest revenue.

Since its launch on April 9, "Arirang World Tour" has achieved 204 million USD in revenue and sold 1.1 million tickets.

With more than 50 remaining shows in 2026, the tour is predicted to soon surpass "Love Yourself World Tour" (2018-2019) to become the highest-grossing tour in BTS's career. Previously, "Love Yourself World Tour" achieved revenue of 213.9 million USD.

Thanks to this result, BTS's total tour revenue recorded by Billboard Boxscore exceeded 503 million USD, with 3.3 million tickets sold after 87 shows.

In the May Top Tours chart, Metallica ranked second with 72.6 million USD in revenue and 506,000 tickets sold through 7 shows of the "M72 World Tour" in Europe.

Third place is Bad Bunny with "Debí Tirar Más Fotos World Tour". In the remaining two positions in the top 5, Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band ranked fourth with 50.8 million USD through 12 shows of "Land of Hope and Dreams American Tour". Meanwhile, No Doubt ranked fifth with 41.9 million USD and 192,000 tickets from a series of 12 performances at the Sphere dome theater in Las Vegas.
