BTS continues to affirm their appeal in the international music market when "Arirang" has stood firm on the Billboard 200 for 21 consecutive weeks. In the latest chart, the album ranked 21st, thereby continuing to be named in the US main album chart after more than 5 months of release.
Arirang" made a mark right from its release when it topped the Billboard 200 on April 4. The album held number 1 for 3 consecutive weeks, before changing its ranking. Still being in the Billboard 200 after 21 weeks shows that the product's listening power is not only focused on the release time.
In the component charts, "Arirang" also maintained a remarkable ranking. The album ranked 7th on Top Album Sales, 24th on Vinyl Albums and 32nd on Top Streaming Albums. These results show that the product continues to be of interest in both album sales and online listens.
Meanwhile, "Swim" continues to be BTS's most prominent song on global charts. The song ranked 5th on Global Excl. U.S., marking the 21st consecutive week in the Top 10. On Global 200, "Swim" ranked 12th.
Not only "Swim", other songs in "Arirang" also continued to appear on Billboard. "Normal" returned to the charts after the MV and Korean version were released in July, ranking 36th on Global Excl. U.S. and 57th on Global 200.
The three songs "Body to Body", "2.0" and "Hooligan" ranked 130th, 154th and 157th respectively on Global Excl. U.S. Thus, a total of 5 songs in "Arirang" appeared on this chart. This achievement shows that the album's appeal is not only focused on the title track but is maintained in many different products.
The fact that the album "Arirang" continues to stay after more than 5 months of release further highlights BTS's resilience in the US music market, where new products are constantly competing for rankings.
Notably, BTS's new achievements appear in the context that the group decided not to send "Arirang" to compete for the 2027 Grammy Awards. Previously, the US Academy of Recording announced the "Best Asian Pop Performance" category for products in Asian pop music.
However, BTS chose not to include "Arirang" in the Grammy race. This decision attracted attention because this is the first year the Grammys have a separate category for Asian Pop. Following BTS's move, the Academy is reviewing the new category and how the Grammys recognize achievements from Asian artists.

The Academy's review of the Asian Pop category shows that the debate is not only about whether BTS will participate in the Grammys, but also about how Asian music is classified and recognized at one of the world's biggest music awards.
While the Grammy story continues to be of interest, BTS still lets their musical achievements speak out.
In parallel with the achievements on the charts, BTS is taking a world tour "Arirang World Tour". The group opened the North American leg with two performances in East Rutherford, USA on August 1st and 2nd.
On August 22nd and 23rd, BTS will continue to perform at Rogers Stadium in Toronto, Canada. The continuous appearance at major stadiums shows the scale of BTS's operations in the period of returning with a full squad.
The consecutive achievements on Billboard and the scale of "Arirang World Tour" show that BTS still maintains strong attraction after military service and private activities. From the charts to the international stage, BTS continues to affirm their position as the number 1 group in the global music market.
