The episode opens with a direct confrontation between Quan's "one-night stand" and Quan's family (Huynh Anh). The bar girl goes to Mrs. Dung's house (Quach Thu Phuong), attacking directly: "Outside you seem noble but inside you have no morality. People call it hypocrisy".

Despite being angry, Ms. Dung still asked to hide everything from Quan and proposed using money to solve it. As for Quan, he continued to sink into a deadlock. Meeting Quan, Lam (Manh Truong) analyzed the reality: "Family love is something that cannot be abandoned. Sometimes we have to know how to end it to have a better start.
To completely resolve the trouble, Lam personally went to Diem's room. Faced with Lam's firmness, Diem turned her cards upside down. She used sensitive images to threaten to post them online to see who was the real victim. Using the excuse that Ms. Dung was too "restrained", disregarding her status to step into Quan's family, Diem made a direct offer to Lam: "I'll handle it right away. 1 billion".
At the same time, Thuong (Quynh Kool) had to bear more pressure from her hometown when her grandmother worked hard until she fainted but refused to go to the hospital. Calling home, Thuong tried to restrain herself, lying to reassure her: "Occasionally, the sisters argue for fun, grandma, but then everything goes back to normal.
Before the 1 billion VND, Lam went to Trang's house to ask her to act as a bridge with Hung to find weaknesses to pressure Diem. Trang refused to help and calmly claimed that Quan was in trouble because of his own fault.

This conversation was completely heard by Thuong outside. When Thuong brought Lam to meet Hung, Hung initially seemed reluctant because of the reason "water from the river does not violate well water" with the groups in the bar.
However, when he learned that Diem demanded 1 billion VND and the family was willing to spend a sum of money while waiting for the test so that she would not do anything wrong, Hung agreed to help by providing a phone number or arranging a meeting, but he refused to act as an intermediary "to find weaknesses to force her" because that was an underground rule.
On the bus taking Thuong home afterwards, Lam advised her to live for herself: "If you two really love each other, why don't you try to burn yourself out once and see how it goes, and then go wherever you want".
Thuong returned home and saw her youngest son Minh taking a commemorative photo frame of Thuong and Quan and hanging it on the wall with the hope "who knows, the broken mirror might heal". Thuong was in a moment of pain and anger, not letting Minh hang it, so she wrestled, causing the photo frame to fall and break.
After stringing everything together, Thuong questioned Trang directly: "Are you trapping Mr. Quan, right?". Thuong affirmed that Quan is not an easy person and blamed his younger sister for harming other people's lives.
Trang covered up and blamed Quan in return: "It's as if I was wrong when I saw it but didn't stop it. But whether the fish bit the hook or not, you have to blame the fish, why blame me. If you are a decent and decent person, who can trap a girl".
Too heartbroken and indignant at her younger sister's indifferent and terrible attitude, Thuong warned Trang about her lifestyle of gathering and clinging to complicated bar relationships. She shed tears, choked up and said: "Don't get involved in my life anymore".
How will Ms. Dung's family deal with the 1 billion VND claim, and can Thuong completely let go of her old love? Watch the next developments of Step into Life.
