The movie "Vu Lam Linh" is set in the Northern Song Dynasty, revolving around the character Trien Chieu (played by Duong Duong) - a guard midfielder nicknamed "Nam Hiep" (Southern Hiep). After grasping evidence related to Tuong Duong Vuong's rebellion plot, he becomes the target of both the court and the underworld.
On the journey of investigation and escape, Trien Chieu meets female knight Hoac Linh Lung (played by Chuong Nhuoc Nam) and Bach Ngoc Duong (played by Phuong Dat Luan). All three join forces to break many major cases, gradually exposing the dark forces behind the conspiracy to upset the court.
