This year, the inspiration for the program "Tet means hope" revolves around the word "Reaching out", originating from the country's rise.
The program will help viewers look back at the nation's pride; sow optimism and hope for a bright future in the new year of At Ty - a year marking two major events: the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and the 80th anniversary of the founding of the country.
On New Year's Eve, inspirational stories are the highlight of the program, bringing messages about people's will to rise up, overcome challenges, and move towards a better life.
In the North and Central regions, the audience will meet those who contributed to the construction of the 500 kV line 3 - a project whose construction process had to overcome many "mountain peaks" of nature and human spirit; or stories about the northern highland communities, where people are rising up by accessing science and technology.
In the South, the audience will see the vast green space of Can Gio - Vietnam's first World Biosphere Reserve, and many other stories from all regions are told in the 120-minute program.
Television audiences will meet special characters in the spring atmosphere, such as the story of the word "reach" in diplomacy and economics through the perspective of Ms. Ton Nu Thi Ninh and young businessman Luong Duy Hoai; poet Nguyen Khoa Diem; Mr. Jonathan Wallace Baker, Chief Representative of UNESCO in Vietnam; Professor Tran Van Tho (Waseda University, Tokyo, Japan)...
Interspersed between the reports and meetings are a series of elaborately staged art performances, directed by Cao Trung Hieu and music director Tran Thanh Phuong.
With the theme “Reaching Out”, the program has selected songs with an optimistic spirit, songs of joy about spring associated with generations of Vietnamese people.
The novelty in modern, youthful arrangements, combined with the continuity of traditional instruments such as the Dan Day, flute, erhu, and Mong panpipes, etc., promises to bring new musical experiences to the audience.
The program features the participation of 3 divas: People's Artist Thanh Lam, Hong Nhung, Ha Tran; along with People's Artist Thu Huyen, Ngoc Anh, Tung Duong, Phuong Thanh, Ho Trung Dung, Doan Trang, Pham Thu Ha, Ha Le, Thao Trang, Oplus, Ngo Hong Quang and young singers who have made many artistic marks at home and abroad such as Lam Bao Ngoc, Duong Hoang Yen, Beatboxer Trung Bao, flute artist Ly Mi Cuong, Hong Duyen, Rapper Dr.Peem, and Singer Kieu Anh.
