Quang Ninh hosts the opening series of Miss World 2026 activities from August 8-12, 2026, with the participation of about 130 contestants from countries and territories.
According to the plan, the opening program "Welcome Miss World to Quang Ninh - Vietnam" will take place at 8:00 PM on August 11th at Ha Long Marina Sea Square (Bai Chay ward), expected to have 10,000 delegates, people and tourists attending.
The opening program will be broadcast live and livestreamed on the platforms of Quang Ninh Newspaper and Radio, Television.
Previously, on August 8-9, the contestants will come to Quang Ninh and at 7:00 PM on August 9, the province will organize a party to welcome the contestants participating in the 73rd Miss World Contest; on August 10, the opening program will be rehearsed.
To coordinate the organization of the 73rd Miss World Contest, Quang Ninh established an organizing committee and sub-committees in Quang Ninh.
The Organizing Committee in Quang Ninh province is headed by Mr. Le Van Anh - Vice Chairman of Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee.
The Deputy Heads of Departments are leaders of relevant departments, agencies, and sectors.

During their time in Quang Ninh, the contestants also plan to visit and experience Ha Long Bay and participate in gratitude activities and environmental protection.
Through the series of activities, Quang Ninh aims to introduce Ha Long Bay as a World Natural Heritage along with cultural, historical, natural landscape and local people values to international friends; contributing to promoting the tourism brand of the province and Vietnam.
