Miss World Organization has officially launched the Miss World 2026 journey. Miss World Organization President Julia Morley, Incumbent Miss Opal Suchata Chuangsri, along with representatives of the host unit and a large number of Misses and runners-up, had a working session in Vietnam.
This is the opening milestone for the special season on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the oldest international beauty contest on the planet.
In the context of the global beauty industry changing strongly by social networks and fast entertainment trends, Miss World still maintains its position thanks to a different value system: promoting beauty associated with intelligence, personality and the ability to create positive value for the community.
Born in 1951 in England by founder Eric Morley, Miss World quickly developed from a promotional event into the world's first international beauty arena. Over 75 years, the contest currently gathers more than 100 countries and territories to participate, possessing a global media scale.
The biggest turning point of Miss World took place when Ms. Julia Morley took over the management role. She made "Beauty With A Purpose" (Beauty With A Purpose) the soul of the competition. From here, contestants not only perform but also directly build and implement community projects on health, education, and children in many countries.
To affirm the philosophy of sustainable development, Miss World has made pioneering decisions such as eliminating the bikini competition, and a system of in-depth sub-competitions.
Thanks to her persistent contributions to humanity through the global charity ecosystem, President Julia Morley was awarded the Order of the British Empire (CBE) by the late Queen Elizabeth II in 2022, along with many prestigious humanitarian awards in 2024 and 2025.
The 75th anniversary season is expected to gather more than 130 contestants from all over the world.
This is not only a beauty contest but also a large-scale cultural exchange forum lasting for many weeks through activities such as: Dance Of The World, charity activities in the host country, children's book donation projects...
Ms. Pham Kim Dung (Sen Vang company) - the unit holding the copyright to organize Miss World, along with Miss Opal Suchata Chuangsri and representatives of the organizing committee, performed a ceremony to donate more than 1,000 books (worth 100 million VND) to the Ho Chi Minh Cultural Space under the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Union. This action once again proves the goal of education and human values of the contest.
The 75th anniversary season is not simply a time milestone for a brand, but an opportunity to look back at the journey of Miss World turning beauty into a tool to spread compassion, connect culture and inspire modern women around the globe.
