Exploiting the theme of school, teenage psychology and family pressure, the TV series "The Other Side of the City" will officially air at 9pm from Monday to Friday every week on VTV1 channel, starting from May 27, 2026.
The film revolves around the story of three friends: Cuong (played by Vo Hoai Vu) - a rebellious but righteous student; Khue (played by Thai Vu) - an introverted, often isolated "mathematical genius"; and Tuyet Lan (played by Tu Quyen) - a newly transferred friend with a perfect appearance but a broken inner self.
Tuyet Lan's appearance along with secrets from the past has pushed their friendship into upheavals, misunderstandings and fateful turning points.
Besides the innocent early vibrations and humor of school age, the film bravely touches on thorny issues such as achievement pressure, cold violence (isolation) and teenage psychological trauma.

The relationship between the characters is placed in close correlation with the family.
The film deeply portrays the image of parents played by familiar actors such as Huyen Sam, Khanh Linh, Thuy Duong... They play the roles of people who, due to livelihood pressure, due to inferiority complex or expectations of too high achievements, unintentionally push their children into injury.
With a vibrant narrative voice, balancing entertainment elements and psychological depth, "Phía bên kia thành phố" promises to be a true work, bringing a multi-dimensional perspective on contemporary school life to both young audiences and parents.
