On March 15, Jennie (Blackpink) held a solo concert "The Ruby Experience" at inspire Arena, commemorating the release of her first solo album in her career - "Ruby".
Previously, Jennie had concerts in Los Angeles and New York (USA). The concert at inspire Arena is particularly meaningful, as it marks Jennie's first solo performance in Korea in 9 years of her debut.
During the music night, Jennie performed live all 15 songs from the album Ruby.
She opened with Intro: JANE with FKJ and Start a war, then continued seamlessly through the performances of Handlebars, Mantra, Love Hangover, ZEN, Damn Right... In addition, after the Seoul City performance ended, the MV of the song was released for the first time.
The singer continued to perform the title tracks like JENNIE and With the IE (way up), followed by ExtraL, before taking a brief emotional moment to greet her fans.
After that, Jennie said goodbye to the audience with the stage "FTS" and "Filter". When the audience shouted her name, Jennie suddenly returned to the stage and ended the show with performances of Starlight and Twin.
According to Osen, although Jennie brought a colorful music party and strong performances, after the concert ended, there were controversial comments on social media with few opinions that the show "did not meet expectations".
The initial description of the concert said the concert lasted 120 minutes. But in reality, the performance only lasted about 75 minutes. Jennie's time interacting with the audience was only about 5 to 10 minutes.
Ticket prices have also become a topic of debate. Although the concert only lasted for more than 1 hour, the ticket price was commented to be quite high. Ruby seat tickets cost 220,000 won (about 3.8 million VND), R seat is 165,000 won (about 2.9 million VND), S seat is 154,000 won (about 2.7 million VND) and 143,000 won (about 2.5 million VND) for A seat.
Many comments criticized the ticket price as "not worthy of the money spent".
However, there were still many fans attending the concert who gave positive reviews such as: "I went there and found it great", "I didn't see the ticket price as expensive because the concert had flashy, eye-catching performances"...
