This is a remake of the famous Taiwanese (Chinese) romance film of the same name released in 2011, telling the story of a young girl's first love at the age of 18.
Jinyoung plays Jin Woo, a guy who spends countless days building his courage to confess his love to Seon Ah (Dahyun), his first love.
In the original, the two main characters are Tham Giai Nghi and Kha Canh Dang, played by actress Tran Nghien Hy and actor Kha Chan Dong.

trying her hand at acting for the first time after 10 years as a member of Kpop girl group TWICE, Dahyun shared: This is my first role so I was really nervous, nervous and excited. I'm curious about how people will receive it, but I'm also eagerly waiting for the film to be released."
Dahyun confessed that she has long cherished her dream of becoming an actress, but did not know where to start. Luckily, the opportunity came to her last year and she is very grateful for this work.
Having been chosen to play a character that Tran Nghien Hy has portrayed very successfully, making "You are the apple of my eye" a "monument" in the Chinese youth film genre, Dahyun could not help but feel pressured. But she is also determined to create a female lead version with her own unique features.
"The original is so famous that it is one of my favorite films. Because this is a remake and the original has a great cast, when I first received a casting invitation, I felt pressured.
I am a fan of the original work, I have watched it many times. But after being cast in the role, I didn't look back at the original version. I tried to create Seon Ah in my own unique way. The director also helped me a lot in building the character, Dahyun said.
Sharing about the filming process, the female singer expressed that she felt like she was back to her school days: "I have been a Kpop trainee since my second year of high school, so I have to go to the company and practice right when the bell rings. That is the reason why I feel like I have returned to my school days when participating in this film.
I was excited about all the scenes, but the scene of the first time I spoke to the teacher was the most interesting. I cried and laughed, and it seems like Seon Ah's world has expanded thanks to Jin Woo."
