Politburo member and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has just signed Decision No. 381/QD-TTg dated February 21, 2025 on disciplinary action against Mr. Nguyen Xuan Dong, former Chairman of the People's Committee of Ha Nam province.
Accordingly, the Prime Minister disciplined Mr. Nguyen Xuan Dong, former Chairman of the People's Committee of Ha Nam province, with a Warning for violations and shortcomings in his work and having been subject to party discipline; the disciplinary period is calculated from the date of announcement of Decision No. 1876-QD/UBKTTW dated November 27, 2024 of the Central Inspection Committee.
Previously, on October 28 and 29, 2024, in Hanoi, the Central Inspection Committee held its 49th meeting to review the Report on disciplinary action against a number of party members who violated the law at the Ha Nam Provincial Party Committee.
According to the Central Inspection Committee, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Dong, former Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ha Nam province, violated Party regulations, State laws, working regulations in leading and directing the implementation of a number of investment projects; in performing assigned duties and tasks; violated regulations on what Party members are not allowed to do and the responsibility to set an example.
Mr. Nguyen Xuan Dong's violations have caused serious consequences, bad public opinion, reduced the prestige of the Party organization and local government, to the point of requiring disciplinary action.
Considering the content, nature, extent, consequences, and causes of the violation; based on Party regulations, the Central Inspection Committee decided to discipline Mr. Nguyen Xuan Dong with a Warning.
