Dam Vinh Hung
Recently, the domestic public opinion was stirred up by the lawsuit of Dam Vinh Hung against singer Bich Tuyen and her husband. Accordingly, the male singer sued Mr. Gerard Richard Williams - Bich Tuyen's husband for compensation of about 15 million USD for health, mental and financial losses after the accident at the villa in February 2024.
According to the records, Dam Vinh Hung accused Bich Tuyen’s husband of failing to ensure the safety of guests at a party held at his mansion in Newport Coast (USA). While performing, the male singer was hit in the leg by debris from a concrete sprinkler.
In the shared video, Dam Vinh Hung and Hong Ngoc are singing “Say tinh” and “Khong phai em”. At first, only Dam Vinh Hung was standing on the edge of the lake surrounding the fountain. Then, many spectators also stood up, jumped, and shook.
At the end of the performance, the male singer climbed onto the fountain, causing the stage to fall. The incident caused Dam Vinh Hung to fall into the water, requiring emergency hospitalization and amputation of several toes.

In July 2022, the band Mirror held a concert in Hong Kong (China) when an accident occurred. A 600kg screen fell from above, crushing dancer Ly Khai Ngon who was performing.
The incident occurred at the Hong Kong Coliseum Stadium (China). There were many large screens hanging high up to serve the audience. But during the performance, one of the screens broke its cable and fell to the center of the stage, right where Ly Khai Ngon was standing.
The accident left him with a broken vertebrae, paralyzed from the neck down. As a result, the male dancer had to undergo many surgeries but the situation was not optimistic. However, Ly Khai Ngon still persevered with the long treatment process in the hospital.
Wendy (Red Velvet)
At the music festival “SBS Gayo Daejun 2019”, Wendy (Red Velvet) had an accident during the first rehearsal at the main stage area. The female idol fell from a height of more than 2m, suffering multiple injuries such as a broken wrist, broken right pelvis, cracked cheekbone…
The media reported that Wendy’s accident was due to the carelessness and irresponsibility of the organizers. During the rehearsal, Wendy was asked to go up to the second floor according to the script. However, when she went down, the stairs were not raised, causing the Red Velvet member to lose her footing and fall to the floor.
The incident forced the female idol to temporarily stop working to focus on treatment. She spent 2 months in the hospital and then continued to be transferred to outpatient rehabilitation.
In addition, Wendy also had to undergo orthopedic surgery due to injuries from the accident.
Henry Garza
Los Lonely Boys member Henry Garza also faced a similar situation to Wendy (Red Velvet). In 2013, while performing, he fell on stage at the Downey Civic Theatre and filed a lawsuit.
In his complaint, Henry Garza said that to ensure compliance, the group’s management worked with the organizers to provide instructions to raise the orchestra pit level with the stage. This would allow the artists to perform their routines and bow to fans.
However, contrary to the instructions, the orchestra pit was not raised, there was no reflective tape, and the top of the pit was lower than the performance stage. Therefore, during the move, Henry Garza fell into the orchestra pit and was hospitalized with serious injuries.
In addition to the above incidents, there are many other artists who have had accidents while performing. We can mention the Argentine singer - Luis Villan who was hit in the head by stage equipment falling while singing at the El Talar music festival.
There have even been heartbreaking tragedies, such as the death of a violinist who fell into a tunnel beneath the stage of the Bolshoi Theatre, or the death of a young actor named Kulesh who was crushed to death by a block of set models.
