Actor Bao Dinh plays the role of Suu - the son of Long (Thai Hoa), the bandits in the movie "The War in the Air". Playing a villain, Bao Dinh still received compliments for his realistic acting when recreating the psychological changes of the character from fear, shyness to crazyness, and disorder.
Sau pulled me out of my comfort zone

- The film has many action scenes, so during filming, did you ever get injured or have an accident?
- I think not only me but most of the actors in the crew were injured in some ways during filming. For me, because there are not too many action scratches, it is common for small scratches.
I only suffered the most twice. One was when filming a fight with the character Binh (played by Thanh Son), he accidentally hit my face, causing my lips to tear and bleeding. The second time was when the plane overturned, my hand was scratched from the palms to the elbows, red and burning.
In fact, with action films, such accidents are inevitable, even though the crew has prepared and protected them very carefully. Compared to other colleagues, I am quite "gentle" because my character Suu is mainly the one who was beaten. Sometimes I also accidentally injure others, but luckily it was just a small collision
- After this role, do you have any new projects that you are cherishing or can you share a little with the audience?
- Currently, I have not accepted to participate in any new project and am in the process of waiting for a truly suitable opportunity to continue to challenge and renew myself in the next roles.
- Previously, you were quite secretive on social networks and now you are more open. How did the role of san get you change?
- Suu really pulled me out of my comfort zone, before for me social networks were not a place for people to truly understand me, so I rarely used and shared my personal life.
But since receiving the attention and love from the audience, I think I should also be more open and closer to partly thank those who have supported me and the film, as well as spread more to the work.
Lost 2 years of crisis, crying at night

- What were the difficulties your path to acting?
- I turned to art at an age when people say "the age of settling down". This decision brought many financial fluctuations after I quit a job at a stable job with a high chance of promotion.
Perhaps the most difficult thing is that I have to rely on my family when my family is also in trouble, at that time my mother had just experienced a serious illness.
Maybe this is also what I often worry about during that time. But perhaps until now, I believe that I have never given up on believing in myself for a single moment.
And no matter what the future journey is, I now have the companionship of my loved ones by my side.
Perhaps because of this, I have never felt tired or persevered to the end so as not to disappoint those who have always been quietly behind me to support me. A home that I know I can return to at any time.
- On the path of pursuing your passion for art, have you ever been discouraged and what kept you from continuing to act?
- I started returning to Ho Chi Minh City in 2020 to find a way to become an actor for myself. But it took more than a year to do nothing due to the pandemic. At that time, I could only receive money from my family, and cried all night.
After the pandemic, the economic crisis slowed everything down and especially for an actor, the job was even more difficult to find.
It can be said that I spent 2 years of crisis with my choice and tried every way to stay in Ho Chi Minh City and continue to pursue my passion.
In fact, I always know that not only me but also all of you have this same passion, they are equally hard-working.
Although I did not have many great opportunities, I still participated in student short film projects, independent films, and those experiences kept the fire in me unxtended.
After each project, I understand more about my job and myself. Every day, the sympathy from young people studying and working in the film industry, from young filmmakers, seems to blend together and add passion to me.
- In your opinion, what is the most difficult thing for an amateur actor?
- Maybe it is confusion of not knowing where to start, no plan, no direction, just keep moving forward, carrying faith in yourself.
- So do your family opposite or support you on your artistic path?
- At first, my mother was a bit against me after seeing me stuck for a long time. I understand my mother because I know a stable life will always be a better choice.
During those days, the person I always wanted to convince the most was my mother. But now it is probably no longer necessary.
- Can you reveal your interests in real life?
- If I don't do anything, I just like to watch movies, recently I haven't listen to music much. I enjoy the musical atmosphere of a movie more.
I like minimalist dressing, but I know I also need to be neat and polite on important occasions.
I love cooking, this is probably influenced by my mother. My mother really likes to cook and the dishes she cooks, which are very delicious to me.
I really enjoy standing in the kitchen and meticulously taking care of the dishes. That makes my mind lighter and the compliments from everyone when eating the dishes I cook always make me very happy.
