The ARMY52Hz website has played a significant role in connecting millions of ARMY (BTS fandom) around the world. This website was even suspected of being run by BTS management company because they work too professionally, creatively and methodically.
However, after Suga's drunk driving incident, the website operator left a message: "Everyone is suffering. We request a quick decision", and closed all accounts , including the website.
One netizen commented: “Such a big account that always works hard posted about the recent Suga incident, and as a result, both their website and Twitter account were shut down. This situation is definitely a strong blow to the general atmosphere of the fandom."
Under the post with nearly 80,000 reads on theqoo, many opinions said that Suga and the management company Big Hit Music as well as the HYBE group really made BTS fans impatient. This also shows that Suga's scandal makes Korean fans more divided than international fans.
In another development, this morning, August 13, in front of HYBE Group headquarters in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, many wreaths of flowers were sent by BTS fans, asking Suga to leave the group.
ARMY (BTS fandom name) who anonymously organized this protest stated to Sports Kyunghyang: "This is not a coordinated action by the entire fandom, as these wreaths were sent by individuals.
We organized this protest because no action was taken after HYBE, Big Hit Music and Suga made false statements."
They added that if Big Hit Music does not issue an additional statement, they will consider escalating the protest by organizing a truck protest.
Since Suga was arrested by the police on August 6 for driving an electric vehicle while drunk, public opinion has become increasingly harshly criticized. Fans expressed disappointment after Big Hit Music and Suga repeatedly lied .
Suga and the company both said that the vehicle Suga used was an "electric kickboard" (electric scooter without saddle). But the police countered that the vehicle Suga was riding was an "electric scooter with a seat", not a low-speed electric vehicle under 25km/h. This was also proven through CCTV.
