According to the MV censorship results announced by KBS on May 7, male singer G-Dragon (Big Bang) will participate as an artist contributing vocals to the new song of the girl group aespa called "WDA (Whole different animal)".
aespa is expected to release their second studio album "LEMONADE" at 1:00 PM on May 29 (Korean time). Previously, the group will pre-release the song "WDA" at 6:00 PM on May 11.
The new album was introduced as the beginning of a new chapter of aespa, portraying a more mature and sophisticated musical story, while also showing the group's continued development in music.
The album "LEMONADE" includes a total of 10 songs of various genres, in which "WDA" will be the opening song, playing a role in shaping the color for the entire project.
This is not the first time aespa and G-Dragon have had a connection with each other. In February last year, Karina participated in acting in the MV for the title track "Too Bad" from G-Dragon's third studio album.

When comments with bad words about Karina appeared, implying that G-Dragon overshadowed Karina in the MV "Too Bad", the male singer responded to defend his junior: "Because I am receiving light (from her)", implying not that Karina is fading, but that she has transmitted light to him.
All 4 members of the aespa group (Karina, Giselle, Winter, NingNing) later participated in the MBC variety show "Good Day" hosted by G-Dragon.
In the program, the male singer praised the stage performance ability of his junior group and learned some of their choreography.
With the song "WDA" this time, fans are very much looking forward to the creative combination between aespa and G-Dragon, and also looking forward to the musical color and unique performance that this collaboration promises to bring.
G-Dragon is achieving remarkable achievements since returning to solo activities with the album "Übermensch" and the tour of the same name.
According to Korean media, last year, G-Dragon was shared profits of more than 65 billion won (about 1,150 billion VND) by Galaxy Corporation, becoming a pillar of the company.
In 2025, thanks to positive activities such as organizing tours, participating in programs, advertising... G-Dragon helped the company generate nearly 300 billion won in revenue.
Last month, G-Dragon and 2 members of Big Bang (Taeyang, Daesung) had 2 explosive performances at the Coachella music festival.
This year, Big Bang plans to reappear on the occasion of their 20th anniversary of operation. YG Entertainment has confirmed that Big Bang will organize a global tour in 2026.
