King of Kpop G-Dragon (Big Bang) officially returned with his third studio album Übermensch, on the afternoon of February 25.
The album has a total of 8 songs, including 2 previously released songs, "Power" and "Home Sweet Home" (co-operated with Taeyang, Daesung). Of the 6 new songs, G-Dragon released MVs for Too Bad (co-operated with Anderson.Paak) and Drama.
3 days before the MV Too Bad was released, the Kpop fan community was stirred up when female idol Karina of aespa group was confirmed to participate in G-Dragons MV.
Karina is the most famous beauty in 4th generation (Gen 4) Kpop groups. This is a rare time she participated in an MV not by an artist from SM Entertainment. Therefore, the collaboration between the two top stars of Gen 2 and Gen 4 Kpop is highly anticipated.
However, when the MV Too Bad was released, the audience had mixed reactions.
Throughout the 2-minute, 39-second MV, Karina appeared in a 20-second dance scene with G-Dragon without any other interaction.
On the online community theqoo, netizens were disappointed because Karina's segment was too short and blurred. They left many negative comments.

On the morning of February 26, the song Too Bad reached the milestone of Real time all-kill after 12 hours of release, ranking No. 1 on the top 4 real-time music charts in Korea - including Melon Top 100, Genie, Flo and Bugs.
Previously, as soon as Too Bad was released, G-Dragon was the 3rd K-pop artist and the first male solo artist in history to have a song debut at No. 1 on the Melon Top 100 (in the first hour).
Before Too Bad, only BTS Yet To Come (2022) and IUs Love Wins All (2024) did this.
