In recent days, international public opinion has been shaken by the arrest of rapper Diddy in New York and facing charges of human trafficking and organizing sex-related criminal activities.
In the lengthy indictment, Diddy is accused of hosting parties called “Freak Offs” — where “elaborate and choreographed sexual performances” took place.
Diddy was also accused of using drugs and regularly "filming" these pleasure sessions.
In addition, the US Department of Homeland Security also discovered many suspicious items when searching Diddy's home in March 2024, including "narcotics, more than 1,000 bottles of baby oil and lubricants".
Before his arrest, Diddy himself predicted that his parties would attract attention. In a 1999 interview with Entertainment Tonight, Diddy said, “They might arrest me, do all sorts of crazy things just because we want to have a good time.”
Diddy also joked about keeping women from leaving his parties on a 2002 episode of Late Night With Conan O’Brien. When asked how he held a “cool” party, the rapper replied: “Women. Beautiful women, of course. And beautiful men for the girls.”
Previously, many famous stars also spoke out when asked about Diddy's parties.
Actor Ashton Kutcher was asked about attending Diddy's parties in a 2019 interview, to which Kutcher replied: "I have a lot of things I can't say."
He described his relationship with Diddy as “very strange.”
Meanwhile, rapper Ice Cube was harsh when asked about this issue. Ice Cube affirmed that he had no connection with Diddy: "Me and W.C. never went to Diddy's parties."
In a 2014 episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Khloe Kardashian of the infamous Kardashian-Jenner family described a Diddy party: “I think half the people were naked.”
In a 2016 interview with The Howard Stern Show, Usher recalled living with Diddy as a teenager: “I saw that lifestyle, but I don’t know if I could enjoy it and understand what I was seeing. It was pretty wild, it was crazy.”
As for rapper 50 Cent, in a previous interview, he said that he stayed away from Diddy's parties because he felt uncomfortable.
The rapper is also collaborating with Netflix to produce a movie about Diddy. Most recently, 50 Cent shared on his personal X page a photo of a bottle of baby oil with the words "Diddy Oil" as an act of mocking the discovery of more than 1,000 bottles of oil in the house of “music mogul”.
Sharing the same opinion, comedian Katt Williams in a previous interview also revealed that he refused invitations to Diddy's parties because he wanted to protect his reputation.
As Diddy faces serious charges, celebrity comments about his partying become a hot topic in American newspapers.
Many celebrities associated with Diddy deleted their X accounts after the rapper was arrested.
