Isaac
Isaac's real name is Pham Luu Tan Tai. He is from Can Tho, and majored in animal husbandry and veterinary medicine at Can Tho University. After that, because of his passion for music, he tried his hand at Vietnam Idol at the age of 19.
Isaac convinced the judges to enter the next round. However, he stopped at the top 60. After this milestone, Isaac was selected to the 365 squad.
After 5 years of operation, 365 has had many hits, and is one of the most successful boy groups of 2010. Since 365 disbanded, Isaac has been working solo and venturing into acting. He has appeared in the films "Song Lang", "The Love Song Writing Season" and "The Monkey Brother".
In 2024, Isaac participated in Anh trai say hi and entered the top 5 finalists.
Son Tung M-TP
Among the contestants who failed at Vietnam Idol, Son Tung is considered a brilliant person and has a successful career. Not going far in the idol search program, Son Tung released a series of hits "The Rain Through", "Em cua ngay hom qua", "Chac ai ai se quay lai", "Khong phai don chieu"... and became a phenomenon of Vietnamese showbiz.
In the program The First Time I told you, the male singer once shared about his stop at Vietnam Idol: "The time I finished the Music Institute competition was also the time Vietnam Idol held a casting in Ho Chi Minh City. I told my aunt that she should try it now, if she can, then fine, if not fine, then fine. I stood from morning to afternoon like many other contestants, sweating profusely.
For me, it was simply to try, if I couldn't, I would just prepare the songs well if I could get into the next round. That day, I went in and sang the song I had competed in at the Conservatory of Music and was... eliminated".
Later, Son Tung M-TP returned and performed on stage of the Vietnam Idol program many times in 2012, 2014 and 2023.
Dong Nhi
In 2007, Dong Nhi participated in the Vietnam Idol contest, at that time she still used her real name Mai Hong Ngoc. She chose the song " Va mua dong den" by musician Bao Chan to perform. However, composer Tuan Khanh said that Dong Nhi's performance did not have her own personality. Due to her young age, she was eliminated in the first round.
After leaving, Dong Nhi quietly released music products to online music listening sites and quickly gained attraction. A series of consecutive "hits" such as "Boi luoc", "Loi lan toi so sweet", "Nghe an", "30 ngay yeu"... helped her gain a large fan base.
Ho Quang Hieu
Ho Quang Hieu came to music and chose Vietnam Idol as the first competition he registered for. The singer qualified but only stopped at the top 60.
However, with the song "Con buom xuan" released at the end of 2013 and hits like "Tup la ideal", "Khong tuong tu" or "Noi do con tim ve", Ho Quang Hieu covered with young audiences and had a large number of fans.
Noo Phuoc Thinh
Noo Phuoc Thinh once competed in Vietnam Idol but the audience did not even recognize him. When participating in Star Academy as a guest, Noo Phuoc Thinh shared about this. Although she did not make an impression in the contest, Noo Phuoc Thinh still pursued her dream of becoming a singer.
In his career, Noo has had many famous songs such as "Mat em", "Doi thay", "Cause I love you", "Cham khe tim anh mot chut thoi"... To this day, Noo Phuoc Thinh is still a popular name, organizing many large-scale shows.
