Mr. Chu Van Thong - Chairman of Thong Phong Cooperative, Krong No Commune, Lak District, Dak Lak said that the unit has 70 members with 50 hectares of durian cultivation.
Currently, the cooperative has information that China requires the inspection of O gold for imported durian. This is a new regulation, the Cooperative hopes that the provincial authorities will soon disseminate it so that people know where the substance is and how to prevent it.
Mr. Thong also recommended strictly controlling the quality of fertilizers and pesticides to avoid people buying fake products containing banned substances.
"We want the authorities to know where we can test the banned substances that the importer has put out. This helps people, cooperatives, and businesses proactively check their products before selling them" - Mr. Thong said.

Vice Chairman of the Dak Lak Durian Association - Mr. Le Anh Trung - said that the whole province has 37,381 hectares of durian, with an output in 2024 reaching nearly 318,000 tons, accounting for a large proportion of the country's total export output.
However, import markets, especially China, are tightening requirements for growing area codes, packaging facilities, traceability and food safety.
Every time there are new regulations, export activities face difficulties. This requires businesses to have long-term adaptation strategies, not to follow changes in partner requirements.
The Association proposed to build a separate durian standard set for Dak Lak. This helps control product quality, operating procedures, regional codes and packaging facilities.
The Association also proposed to register the brand "Dak Lak durian" to ensure products with higher value and more sustainability in the international market.
In addition, the Dak Lak Durian Association also proposed to establish an Association Transaction Office, supporting members, coordinating export activities and connecting with management agencies.
"We hope to have close coordination between the Provincial People's Committee; Department of Agriculture and Environment; Ministry of Agriculture and Environment as well as enterprises. Thereby, standards are developed soon, helping Dak Lak durian ensure a market and sustainable development" - Mr. Trung said.
The Vice President of the Dak Lak Durian Association sent a message: To go far, we must go together, "Dak Lak durian" needs a separate standard to protect the brand and sustainable exports.
