On August 7, the renowned fashion magazine WWD reported that South Korean singer Kim Seok Jin, better known by his stage name Jin - a member of the Kpop group BTS, has been appointed as the newest global ambassador for the luxury fashion brand Gucci.
Gucci's Creative Director Sabato De Sarno expressed through WWD: "Jin's warm and kind nature truly attracts, his style is simply unique."
He is a generous and extraordinary artist, who can move people with his music, making us even more honored to share this journey with him."
Jin is 31 years old this year, the oldest member of BTS. He has just completed his military service and was discharged in June.
After being discharged, although he has not returned to new music products yet, Jin has had many notable activities.
At the beginning of July, he was appointed as the first global ambassador for the French luxury jewelry brand FRED.
In the middle of July, Jin was chosen as the Korean representative to carry the torch at the 2024 Paris Olympics. He was honored to lead the parade at the Louvre Museum, the center of Paris (France).
Gucci is a luxury fashion brand from Italy, with a large global presence. Previously, the closest Kpop idol to be appointed as Gucci's global ambassador was Hanni from the group NewJeans.
Jin will join the Gucci ambassador team alongside other Korean stars, including Lee Jung Jae, IU, Kai (EXO), Shin Min Ah, Park Gyu Young, and Jay Park.
