Recently, Rolling Stone Japan magazine posted a short interview video of Jungkook (BTS) on its official Instagram account.
In the video, Jungkook talks about his mental state before stepping onto the stage. He shared: "Feeling nervous is very natural. But more than that, I think what is really important is enjoying that moment.
He continued: "Even if I make mistakes, stumble on stage or sing one note off, I try to put everything aside and think: "Just enjoy it". Jungkook explained that he puts immersing himself in the performance above fear of making mistakes.
Notably, the male singer revealed that he often proactively ignores many factors that other artists often pay a lot of attention to: "Some artists pay very close attention to external images such as facial expressions, even scents, but I am not good at doing many things at once, so for me personally, there are only two important things: singing and dancing.
Jungkook added: "I'm not too worried about other things. Even though my facial expressions look a bit shy, it's just that I'm singing. Apart from those two things, I completely ignore everything else.
Jungkook emphasized that the quality of the performance is what he values most: "Audiences come to watch, and as a performing artist as well as a singer, I think quality must be good. That is what I value most.
Recalling special memories with ARMY Japan, the male singer said: "Previously, ARMY Japan was quite shy. They cheered very regularly, then suddenly became silent, then cheered again. That melody made me feel very special and unique." The balance between enthusiasm and moderation in Japanese fan culture left a deep impression on him.
Recently, dating rumors between Jungkook and Winter (aespa) have caused a stir in the entertainment industry. Despite facing mixed opinions, both Jungkook and Winter remained silent, neither confirming nor denouncing.
Currently, Jungkook is preparing to reappear with BTS through the studio album "Arirang" - named after the most famous folk song of Korea. The album includes 14 songs, expected to be released on March 20.
Immediately after the album, BTS will kick off a new world tour starting from April 9 at Goyang Stadium (South Korea).
The tour will include 79 performances in 34 cities around the world, marking the largest number of concerts ever held in a Kpop group's tour.
