ET Today media agency reported that Kim Soo Hyun's schedule at an event sponsored by Seven-Eleven for the cherry blossom season in Kaohsiung, Taiwan (China) is under threat.
Before the scandal surrounding the late actor Kim Sae Ron broke out, Kim Soo Hyun went to Taiwan (China) to discuss the project. Seven-Eleven plans to release 3 limited edition products featuring Kim Soo Hyun at this event.
However, with the recent scandal of Kim Soo Hyun, Seven-Eleven is reconsidering whether to let the actor participate or not. According to the media, the possibility of Kim Soo Hyun's presence is extremely low.
A representative of the brand shared with the media: "Currently, we are conducting the event in accordance with the original contract. If there are any changes, we will react immediately and handle them appropriately to the benefit of consumers". At the same time, this person said that they are adjusting their promotion schedule.
Last year, the cherry blossom festival in Kaohsiung (China) attracted about 60,000 audiences. This year's event, taking place from March 19-30, is expected to have the participation of stars from Taiwan (China), Hong Kong (China), Japan, Korea, including Kim Soo Hyun and Koda Kumi.
Kim Soo Hyun has been specifically scheduled to appear as the main character in the 40-minute event on the final day of the festival, March 30.
Given the scale of the event, the fine for Kim Soo Hyun to cancel the event could be up to 1.32 billion won (about 23 billion VND).

Kim Soo Hyun is facing the biggest scandal of his career, as YouTube channel GaroSero and Kim Sae Ron's family accused the actor of dating Kim Sae Ron when she was a teenager, from 2015 to 2021.
Kim Soo Hyun's side denied the accusation, claiming that the actor and Kim Sae Ron dated from the summer of 2019 to the fall of 2020, when Kim Sae Ron was an adult.
The case is still unclear because the two sides have continuously presented opposing evidence. However, Kim Soo Hyun suffered many losses.
Many brands removed advertising images and videos and terminated cooperation with him. Typically, luxury brand Prada announced the termination of the ambassador contract with the actor after 3 months.
The Disney+ original drama Knock-Off starring Kim Soo Hyun is also at risk of being postponed indefinitely, despite the production press conference scheduled for April.
According to Korean media, a relative of Kim Soo Hyun revealed that the male tour guide has now returned to his family to have stability and comfort amid the incident.
