The original Disney+ film Knock-Off tells the story of a man whose life was turned upside down by the IMF foreign exchange crisis (1997 to the early 2000s), then became the king of the counterfeit market.
Kim Soo Hyun plays Kim Seong Jun, vice president of the Sammul Market counterfeit market. Jo Bo Ah plays Song Hye Jung, a customs officer assigned to suppress counterfeitism.
According to TV Report, Knock-Off was originally scheduled to premiere in the first half of the year, with a production press conference scheduled to take place in April 2025. However, due to YouTube channel Garosero's accusations about the dating relationship between Kim Soo Hyun and the late actor Kim Sae Ron when she was a minor, the film release schedule may change.
Knock-Off has completed filming part 1 and is currently filming part 2, each part has 9 episodes. Even a budget of 60 billion won (over 1,000 billion VND) has been invested in this project with a plan to launch globally.

When planning, the producer hoped to recover capital thanks to Kim Soo Hyun's global appeal after the success of the TV series "Queen of Tears".
But right before the premiere, Kim Soo Hyun was suddenly involved in a scandal involving Kim Sae Ron. The actor was turned away by the Korean public and many international fans.
Previously, Walt Disney Company, the operator of Disney+ online services, announced on March 12 that the release date of Knock Off has not yet been determined.
As concerns about the drama being delayed indefinitely or canceled increased, partner companies also became worried and insecure.
A representative of Safe Zone Korea, a sponsor of Knock Off, expressed: We are sorry that the project was interrupted due to an unexpected scandal. We will wait for the official announcement from Disney+ to decide on our stance."
