The executive producer for this project is rapper 50 Cent, and director Alexandria Stapleton is directing the project.
"This is a story that has had a huge impact on people. This is a complex story that spans decades, not just the headlines or the short clips that we've seen so far," 50 Cent and Stapleton told Variety.
“We remain steadfast in our commitment to giving voice to the voiceless and providing authentic, nuanced perspectives. While these allegations are deeply troubling, we urge everyone to remember that Sean Combs’ case does not reflect the entire story of hip-hop and its culture.
We want to ensure that individual actions do not overshadow the broader contributions of this culture,” they added.
50 Cent first announced that his company G-Unit Film & Television would produce the docuseries in early December, when Diddy was sued by four different women, starting with ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura, who sued him for sexual abuse.
At the time, 50 Cent shared a clip on X showing Bad Boy Records rapper Mark Curry accusing Diddy of putting drugs in champagne bottles at his parties before women drank them.
The producer and rapper said proceeds from the documentary will go to support victims of sexual assault.
Last week, Diddy was arrested in New York and charged with three counts: conspiracy to commit extortion; sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion; and transportation to engage in prostitution.
Diddy pleaded not guilty, but remains in custody after being denied bail during an appeal hearing.
The Diddy music scandal has rocked the entertainment industry. According to Page Six, around 200 celebrities are suspected of being involved in Diddy's wild "White Parties".
Among them are famous faces such as Leonardo DiCaprio, Mariah Carrey, Jay Z, Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez, Paris Hilton, Kim Kardashian, Usher, Nick Cannon, Howard Stern, Kelly Osbourne, Aretha Franklin, Martha Stewart, Tommy Lee, Pamela Anderson, Regis Philbin...
“Prince of Pop” Justin Bieber is especially notable, as he has had a close relationship with Diddy for the past 20 years, and has collaborated on many projects. Diddy is known for helping the “Baby” singer in the early years of his career, when he was only 15 years old.
However, the public suspected that Justin Bieber was one of Diddy's victims. The Canadian star's old music videos became a topic of discussion, with speculation that Justin may have hinted that he was being harassed by Diddy and called for help.
