Recently, parents of NewJeans members had a session to share with the media about the information that has caused a stir in recent days. The reason why the members' mothers were upset to speak up was due to the article "The full story of Min Hee Jin stealing NewJeans" published by Dispatch and HYBE's reaction. Along with that, the video of the members when they were trainees at Source Music also made parents angry.
Accordingly, Minji NewJeans ' mother revealed that when she was a trainee at Source Music, the company forbade the members from meeting their parents. The members also have to live in poor conditions such as moldy and cockroach-infested dorms.
"Minji worked as a trainee at Source Music when she was only 13 years old. The first time I visited the dorm after 1 year of Minji being a trainee, I was shocked to see black mold in the corners of the room and cockroaches everywhere. When Minji was 14 years old, they forced her to work until 2 a.m. without any days off," Minji's mother revealed.
Source Music also forced Minji to quit public school and "go to an art school". Minji was even afraid to call her mother when she had to go home alone in the middle of the night.
Along with Minji's mother's frustration, Hyein NewJeans ' mother also explained that they initially signed with Source Music because this was the only company accepting female trainees at the time with the promise of debuting in HYBE's first girl group. However, the harsh training conditions and HYBE's behavior made them want to question the company's ethics.
Meanwhile, Danielle's mother expressed shock when HYBE released videos from when the NewJeans members were trainees. Danielle's mother said that HYBE had promised the female idol to debut in the company's first girl group but then did not keep their word and did not explain further.
The parents of the NewJeans members all affirmed that they felt happy when their children transferred to Ador company and debuted under the leadership of CEO Min Hee Jin.
Haerin's mother affirmed that NewJeasn's parents were very satisfied when signing a contract with Ador and never thought about leaving the company. At the same time, he expressed disappointment with HYBE's way of working and hoped the group would stop using lies and hope to end the ongoing conflict.
