Recently, French fashion magazine Vogue published an article selecting 12 notable Kpop groups in 2025.
Vogue introduced: For many different generations, diverse management companies and record labels, and unique combinations... the Kpop industry can make beginners feel like an unreal, unpredictable universe.
To have a clearer view of this world, Vogue France has selected 12 notable music groups in 2025, with an in-depth perspective from Rudy Jean-Baptiste - Kpop editor of Deezer France.
This is an opportunity to explore emerging groups and learn about the highly anticipated comebacks of some groups that have achieved resounding success.
12 Kpop groups were named, including: NJZ, Hearts2Hearts, The Deep, Blackpink, KATSEYE, MEOVV, Baby Monster, Big Ocean, BTS, Kiss of Life, KickFlip and ILLIT.
NJZ (formerly NewJeans) was the first group mentioned.

Vogue wrote: Girl group NewJeans entered the Billboard Hot 100 chart for the first time with the song Super Shy released in 2023. This is an important turning point in the careers of many artists, enough to make them a new phenomenon of Kpop.
The group with these 5 members (Hanni, Haerin, Hyein, Minji and Danielle) brought a new breeze to the music industry, proving that they have mastered the core elements of Kpop while breaking traditional limits.
This is even more evident with their second EP - Get Up released in July 2023.
Rudy Jean-Baptiste commented: "In fact, they are no longer rookies, because they have a position in the industry. But they still deserve to be on this list, because they are having a completely new start after ending their contracts with their former companies (HYBE and ADOR)".
Vogue also introduced that NewJeans will change their name to NJZ, performing at the ComplexCon Hong Kong (China) festival in March, and emphasized: "This is an opportunity for them to release new songs, starting an era of freedom".
Notably, the cover photo used by Vogue France is an image of NJZ that has never been published. 5 female idols appeared with unique appearances.

Looking at the red hair and eyes wearing lenses, netizens speculate that this image is in a promotional photo series recently taken by NJZ. They pre-posted some photos on Instagram on the day they announced their activities under the new name NJZ (February 7).
Currently, the image is spreading on social networks. Vogue's possession of this image shows that NJZ likely has a plan to contact international media to prepare for the group's comeback.
Previously, NJZ members conducted an interview with US media agency CNN, revealing the release of a new song when performing at the ComplexCon concert event on March 23.
Hanni also noted, "The new image of the group will be completely different from what everyone is used to. We want to experiment with many new performance styles, bringing a sharper and bolder image".

Recently, there were rumors that NJZ will join BANA company (a management company of two music producers 250 and FRNK who have worked with NewJeans since their debut). BANA is said to be helping NJZ's operations.
However, NJZ responded that they havent had any negotiations or signed any contracts with BANA. NJZ announced that it will complain to Korean media outlet Ten Asia for posting this news without confirmation.
