The Instagram account of 5 girls made in December 2024 also changed the name from "JeanzForfree" to "Njz_official".
Sharing with CNN, Hanni said that renaming the name "Challenge into a more interesting opportunity". They will launch the public with the new name NJZ at the Global Fashion Fashion and Global Culture Complexcon, taking place on March 23 in Hong Kong (China).
In particular, CNN noted, NJZ will introduce a new song at this concert event.
"We are trying our best to let things come back to normal," Hanni confided to CNN, she did not want to let the dispute with Ador "dominate her whole career."
Newjeans emerged as one of Korea's most successful pop group after debuting in July 2022 with hit songs "Attention", "Hype Boy" ... This group has achieved international success yet. A full year later with the mini album "Get Up" (with the hit "Super Shy"), reaching the No. 1 position on the US Billboard 200 rankings.
Besides Hanni, the remaining members of the group are under 21 years old. Recently, the Court has set the date of trial of the lawsuit between the group and Ador, the subsidiary of the huge Hybe entertainment group.
During the press conference at the end of November last year, Newjeans members announced the termination of the contract with Ador from November 29, 2024. The group of Ador and Hybe did not fulfill their contractual obligations, discrimination, intentionally communicating and harassing at work.
In response, Ador applied for the validity of the contract and asked for a ban on Newjeans members to sign an advertising contract with a third party.
Danielle told CNN: “We completely lost all faith in Ador at this time. We believe we will win the battle with Hybe and Ador. ”

Regarding the renaming of the group, Danielle revealed that the members had carefully considered to retain the core spirit of the old name "Newjeans" - referring to the timeless qualities of the jeans.
"Although we have to temporarily say goodbye to the old name, we will never forget it. We don't want to have to change its name, because the time when Newjeans is very special, worthy of respect for us and fans." - Hanni said.
