On the afternoon of March 13, speaking with Lao Dong, Ms. Le Ngoc Ha - wife of People's Artist Cong Ly confirmed that he will officially leave the position of Deputy Director of the Hanoi Drama Theater after March 2025.
In the latest sharing, People's Artist Cong Ly expressed his deep gratitude to the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports, the direction of the Theater and especially the Director - People's Artist Trung Hieu, and all his colleagues who have always accompanied, supported and encouraged him throughout his tenure in this position.
Artist Cong Ly also sent his best wishes to his successor, hoping that the position of Deputy Director will continue to contribute to making the Hanoi Drama Theater a bright spot in art not only in the capital but also spreading influence across the country.
Previously, People's Artist Cong Ly was appointed as Deputy Director in charge of the arts of the Hanoi Drama Theater from April 1, 2020, the appointment period was 5 years.
However, in July 2021, People's Artist Cong Ly had health problems and had to stop performing arts to focus on treatment. For more than 3 years, the male artist and his wife have continuously flown to Japan for treatment and therapy to recover their health.
Occasionally, People's Artist Cong Ly plays small roles in prime-time films such as " ex-husband, ex-wife, ex-lover", "Under the shade of the happy tree", "Our family is happy unexpectedly"...
Notably, in 2023, Cong Ly appeared for a few minutes in the program "ta Quan" making the audience emotional and memorable.
Cong Ly was born in 1973 in Hanoi. He is a familiar face in Vietnamese theaters, participating in many TV series such as "The Wind of the Village", "Storm Through the Village", "Chuyen ngang qua pho sai", "Nu gai trong thanh pho", "Hong duong nguoc lai nang".
In 2019, he was awarded the title of People's Artist.
In particular, People's Artist Cong Ly has been attached to the program "ta Quan" for 20 years, since 2003. He made a special mark when playing the role of the Bac Dau for more than a decade until he had health problems in 2021.
