People's Artist Thanh Ngoan's real name is Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoan, born in 1966, in Thai Binh. Thanh Ngoan's family lives in the cradle of Cheo art with many brothers, aunt and uncle participating in artistic work.
She has known how to sing Cheo since she was 7-8 years old, then passed the entrance exam to the Vietnam Cheo Theater and studied away from her family in Hanoi.
