Audiences are more strict with art
After being awarded the title of People's Artist and currently the owner of the Trinh Kim Chi Drama stage and Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Theater Association, is artist Trinh Kim Chi really busy arranging her working time fund?
- Since receiving the title of People's Artist, my work has been quite busy. It comes from many sides, from society to family. However, I arranged everything scientifically so there was nothing to worry about.
However, sometimes when work comes heavy, I get stressed. But I regained my emotional balance quite quickly by choosing the right breaks and recharging myself. Currently, I still do all kinds of jobs, running shows, making movies, and producing plays.
With the recognition of both experts and audiences, when the stage and movies are constantly developing, are you strict when choosing new scripts? What is in an attractive role for you?
- Currently, audiences and experts are very strict with art works to make films and the stage innovative but still bring high educational value. Even I, on stage and in films, always prioritize roles with a role role, fate and humanity, education in my character.
I hope to have colorful roles in both stage and film. I received many roles from luxurious, gentle, miserable and struggling with life and strange personalities. There are characters, I ask the director to change the character personality to make an impression. If they allow me, I will change the color of the character.
Although this is a bit elaborate, the directors agreed when the actors gave their opinions. That is one of the things that makes my art more novel.
Many Misses and Runner-up when acting in films are often considered "mobile flowers". Has artist Trinh Kim Chi ever received similar comments? How much effort did you make to achieve the current results?
- I am actually luckier than you, before the beauty pageant, I studied for 4 years at the University of Theatre and Cinema. When I accepted roles, I was not called a "mobile flower" because I knew how to act. In the future, I think many young actors, if they do not know how to act, should not become actors.
Because thinking about the same person without knowing how to act will destroy the character, destroy his reputation.
However, a good thing is that I see that many young people are now also aware of their acting work. If you are a professional, you need to learn and learn to perform well, strengthening the trust of the audience.
So how does People's Artist Trinh Kim Chi evaluate the beauty who is currently filming? Is this a new trend for cinema?
- Currently, some beauty queens and beauties are performing and acting in films. I find many co-stars acceptable. That is their efforts and quirks, that is more commendable than welcome.
Currently, cinema and the stage are in great need of bright faces with good figure to go on stage and on the big screen. That is the reason why directors often invite beauties and beauty queens. Because they have advantages in appearance, have a certain number of followers and supporters. The most important thing is to have to study hard and follow the profession seriously. Because after all, the core element for an actor to survive is still acting ability.
Serving the audience is the duty of an artist
What do you think about many artists working hard even on big holidays like Hung Kings' Commemoration Day or April 30 and 1.5?
- Usually as an actor, I personally in particular and Vietnamese actors in general often spend holidays to serve the audience. I think that is the career of an actor.
However, I am lucky because my family sympathizes with me. Usually these days, if I'm not busy, they come to the stage and film set to support me. During the day I spend with my family, at night I perform. After the performance, I will spend time with my family. I think that is the duty of an artist, inevitable and unforgivable.
Young artists now have to compete highly to create a position. Do you think the current artistic environment has little space for newcomers?
- I think that young artists should not worry too much about that. Now, many young artists are very active and creative. They do many things such as composing and producing to have works and programs to reach the audience.
With modern technology like now and early exposure to art, I think young artists will learn a lot. They are racing and have partly proven their youthfulness and great youthful spirit. If you want to follow a good culture and art, you will not only improve your skills but also maintain your ethics.
