Recently, in an interview to promote the movie "When Life Gives You Tangerines" (Vietnamese title: When Life Gives You Tangerines), IU was asked about Lee Jong Suk's boyfriend's reaction when watching the movie.
Contrary to many people's thinking, IU answered honestly about her boyfriend's schedule. According to IU, Lee Jong Suk is very busy and she also doesn't know if her boyfriend has time to watch her movie or not.

IU and Lee Jong Suk publicly dated in December 2022 at the MBC Drama Awards and were shown dating photos in Japan by Dispatch.
