In the movie "Phía bên kia thành phố" episode 19 preview, Cuong accidentally hears 2 classmates talking about Khue liking Tuyet Lan. A friend claims he saw Khue clipping a photo taken with Tuyet Lan in a book and believes that this is the reason why the friendship between Cuong and Khue has cracked.
While entering the classroom, Cuong witnessed Khue standing and talking to Tuyet Lan. Standing from afar, Cuong could not hear the content of the conversation but saw Khue holding Tuyet Lan's hand, making him even more disappointed.
However, the truth is not as Cuong witnessed. Khue met Tuyet Lan to explain clearly the cause of death of Tuyet Lan's older brother. Tuyet Lan said that although she did not directly push, it was Khue and Cuong who indirectly caused the death of her brother. "We will come to offer incense to apologize to your brother. But if your price is our friendship, it won't work. Because even if we die, we will never betray each other," Khue said.
Hearing Khue say that, Tuyet Lan just glared, happily asking back: "Are you sure?
Tuyet Lan did not threaten Khue when immediately after that, Cuong came and called Khue a bastard, a traitor. Cuong said that Khue because they both liked Tuyet Lan, they stabbed him in the back. Immediately after that, Khue showed Cuong a video of Cuong talking about Khue as "a boy without a father", "a bastard".
Khue's eyes filled with disappointment and screamed: "Even if the whole world says I am a bastard, I can grit my teeth and live on. Why even you, you bring that up to insult me? We are brothers, or do you protect me but in your heart you still despise me for not having a father, not knowing who my father is and because I am indeed a bastard".
