The Korean drama "Bù nhìn bóng đêm" received audience attention when recording positive viewership ratings and many positive feedbacks after 2 episodes aired.

Belonging to the crime-solving genre, the Korean film "The Scarecrow" (Vietnamese title: Bù nhìn bóng đêm) is inspired by the true Hwaseong massacre in the 1980s, in Korea.

The work revolves around Kang Tae Joo (Park Hae Soo) - an ideal police officer but demoted after an incident - and Cha Si Young (Lee Hee Joon) - an ambitious prosecutor - willing to take advantage of every opportunity to advance.

Bearing enemies from the past, being forced to cooperate in the process of pursuing suspects makes the relationship between the two characters tense, while enhancing the drama of the story.

After 2 episodes, the film achieved viewership ratings of 2.9% and 4.1% respectively, according to Nielsen Korea. This achievement is rated positively compared to the previous broadcast work "Climax" - the highest rating of 3.9%.

Korean media commented that the storytelling structure interwoven between the two timelines of 1988 and 2019, along with a line of characters with many conflicts, helped the film maintain the attention of the audience.

Besides, the tense atmosphere, tight staging, many details and clues are inserted, and the acting of the cast are also plus points.

On screen, the acting of Park Hae Soo and Lee Hee Joon is considered a highlight. If Park Hae Soo portrays the image of a decisive, introverted police officer, then Lee Hee Joon brings a cold, ambitious prosecutor.

Sharing about the role, Park Hae Soo said that he was attracted by the character's inner struggle journey: "Kang Tae Joo is imperfect, has conflicts and failures but still tries to face and fight against injustice. I am attracted by this and want to learn from the character.

Meanwhile, Lee Hee Joon said that he chose the project because he loves the detective genre. The actor assessed that his character is a person with many complex emotions, from the desire to be recognized to conflicts stemming from the past, directly affecting his actions and current choices.

With dramatic content, unpredictable developments and the acting of the cast, "Bù nhìn bóng đêm" is expected to become one of the notable criminal works in the near future.
