Ha Jung Woo returns to the small screen after 19 years with a Korean film revolving around the obsession with real estate and debt.

Belonging to the black comedy genre, "Mad Concrete Dreams" revolves around Ki Soo Jong (Ha Jung Woo) - the owner of a small building that is pushed to the brink of bankruptcy due to debt. After putting in all his effort to keep his precious assets, he is caught in a fake kidnapping, while struggling to protect his family and his investment.

The project marks Ha Jung Woo's return to the small screen after 19 years, since the movie "Special Task Force H.I.T" (2007). Besides, the story revolving around real estate - an issue of concern in many countries, not just South Korea, has attracted attention.

According to director Yim Pil Sung, attractive script is the factor that helps "Mad Concrete Dreams" gather a cast of famous actors. In addition to the cast that has been announced, there will be special guests who will surprise the audience.

I want the actors and the story to shine without too much forced direction. The tragedy and chaos from the conflicts of aspirations will keep the film alive. The audience will not be able to predict the next turning point" - the director said.

Meanwhile, Ha Jung Woo shared that he chose the project because of the multi-dimensional appeal of the character.

I think Soo Jong is a character who expresses human nature. He is an ordinary person, sometimes good, sometimes bad. When the building symbolizing Soo Jong's hope in life is threatened, he becomes desperate. When struggling to survive among more cruel people, the character shows many different aspects.

Also according to the male actor, the storytelling style "leading in a chain reaction style" is the main attraction of the film. In "Mad Concrete Dreams", viewers can feel empathy and be reminded - especially when owning real estate is not an easy thing.

“Throughout the filming process, I always thought: Only should you take on jobs that you can really manage. Pursuing quick wealth based on illusions always costs a lot. That is the message of this film”.

The movie "Mad Concrete Dreams" stars Ha Jung Woo, Im Soo Jung, Shim Eun Kyung, Krystal, Kim Jun Han... The movie is scheduled to be released on the evening of March 14.
