As of January 26, the global hit “APT.” by Rose (Blackpink) and Bruno Mars has reached 1 billion streams on Spotify. The song achieved this achievement after 100 days of its release.
Rose became the Kpop artist with the fastest song to reach 1 billion streams in history, breaking the previous record set by Jungkook (BTS) with the song "Seven" (108 days).
"APT." is also the second fastest song to reach 1 billion Spotify streams globally. The top spot belongs to "Die With A Smile" by Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga.
“APT.” is expected to climb to No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 next week. If it does, Rose will break her own record as the highest-charting female K-pop artist on the Billboard Hot 100.
Previously, “APT.” was the first song by a female Kpop solo artist to enter the Top 10 of the UK’s official singles chart.
Rose is also the highest-ranking K-pop artist on Billboard's Pop Airplay - a chart that ranks the popularity of songs played on US radio stations.
As of January 27, “APT.” has spent 85 days at No. 1 on the global iTunes chart, extending its record as the longest-running No. 1 song by a female K-pop artist in history.
In addition, Rose's album "rosie" is now the longest-charting album by a female Kpop solo artist in the history of the Billboard 200 chart, surpassing Nayeon's (TWICE) album "Im Nayeon".
On Spotify, Rose is still the Kpop artist with the highest monthly listeners of all time, reaching 71,124,800 listeners as of January 26.
