On the afternoon of August 14, Thanh Son appeared with the "death in the air" crew at the film introduction in Hanoi. This is the first action film project he has participated in, directed by Ham Tran.
The actor recalled his first meeting with the director: "You told me... you are so beautiful, I can't!". To transform more realistically into the image of a pilot, Thanh Son was asked to dye his skin.
According to Thanh Son, the director initially said that he did not want to wear makeup for actors in the film, everyone would have to leave their faces.
"Tran Ngoc Vang and I are two people with quite white skin, and the crew gave us a skin dyeing job. But after that, the director was still not satisfied.
The very next afternoon, we took out 2 chairs, chose the sunniest time, and lay exposed to the sun during that time to be able to film according to the director's wishes," Thanh Son said.
The actor also revealed the meticulousness of director Ham Tran.
Thanh Son's character was injured in the leg, although when in the film, the audience would not see the wound, but every day he still had to fully dress up to play the best role.
On the plane, the whole group had to turn off the air conditioner while filming to keep the same suffocating atmosphere, helping the actors clearly feel the tension of the character.
Thanh Son said that the reason for accepting the project was because Ham Tran was the director and was even more excited to act with Thai Hoa, because he considered this a "duet with his idol".
Falling in the Air is inspired by real plane robberies in Vietnam after 1975.
The film revolves around the surprise attack by a group of pilots led by Long (Thai Hoa). Thanh Son plays Binh, a brave and experienced person who confronts Long.
The film crew has restored the entire aircraft's interior to recreate the atmosphere after 1975, from the dashboard, seats, to the film color.
The film brings together the cast: Thai Hoa, Kaity Nguyen, Thanh Son, Xuan Phuc, Vo Dien Gia Huy, Tran Ngoc Vang, Ma Ran Do, Loi Tran, Tram Anh, Xuan Van, Bao Dinh, Ray Nguyen, ... expected to be released in theaters from September 19.
The work marks the reunion of Thanh Son and Kaity Nguyen after "Love by mistake for a best friend" as well as Thai Hoa and Kaity Nguyen after " papa's Heart, daughter".
