On the afternoon of August 29, The Black Label Company of producer Teddy officially announced the final member of the upcoming girl group MEOVV. That is female idol Narin, born in 2007, of Korean nationality. She has been a trainee at The Black Label for about 4-5 years.
In the introductory video, Narin initially appears with a group of friends. She then discovers a unique vending machine that allows Narin to transform into different styles.
From the simple image of long straight hair, Narin transformed into other unique styles. Among them, there is a look that is commented to be similar to the famous female Tiktoker and singer Bella Poarch.
Notably, in the second half of the video, Narin unexpectedly performs a rap. She is the only member of the group whose introduction video reveals her singing voice.
The rap seems to have been edited to create curiosity for the audience, but many speculate that this will be a part of the group's debut song. Narin is also expected to take on the role of main rapper of MEOVV when they debut.
To date, all 5 MEOVV members have been officially announced, including Ella (born in 2008, American-Korean nationality), Gawon (2005, American-Korean nationality), Sooin (2005, Korean nationality), Anna (2005, Japanese nationality), Narin (2007, Korean nationality).
From August 29 to September 4, The Black Label held a pop-up store experience event for MEOVV fans at The Hyundai Seoul. The event gave audiences the opportunity to purchase some MEOVV products and take photos in designated areas.
Pre-registered people are allowed into an exclusive music booth, to preview upcoming MEOVV music releases.
Recently, the famous American record label, Capitol Records, announced the signing of a contract with MEOVV. This opens up expectations for the group's development, not only in the Korean market but also with the goal of conquering the US market and globally.
MEOVV is expected to officially debut in September. The Black Label has not yet revealed the group's schedule.
